The St. Louis Rams have picked up some help for the secondary, signing veteran cornerback Rod Hood.
The 5-11, 201-pound Hood has the size that Rams coach Steve Spagnuolo likes in cornerbacks, and he checked out physically for the team after sitting out last season with a torn ACL. He’d been on the radar of the Rams as they looked at him twice in the past month-and-a-half, according to Jim Thomas of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch.
Hood had his most success with the Philadelphia Eagles and Arizona Cardinals. The Rams also kicked the tires on some other cornerbacks Tuesday at a workout: Mike Holmes, Byran McCann, and Jeremy Ware.
