St. Louis linebacker gets 5-year extension Brad Biggs
The St. Louis Rams set their sights on signing James Laurinaitis to a contract extension after they got a deal done with Chris Long.
Mission accomplished.
The Rams announced this afternoon that the linebacker Laurinaitis has signed a five-year contract extension that will keep him with the club through 2017, ensuring a core member of the defense will be in place for the new coaching staff led by Jeff Fisher.
Long’s contract extension will keep him in place through 2016, so a couple key pieces are in place for the organization. No details yet on the value of Laurinaitis’ contract.
