Rams promote Frank Cignetti to offensive coordinator

The St. Louis Rams promoted quarterbacks coach Frank Cignetti to offensive coordinator.

Tight ends coach Rob Boras is also named assistant head coach-offense.

Cignetti was an offensive coordinator at Rutgers, Pitt and Cal and was the San Francisco 49ers quarterbacks coach and an offensive coordinator at North Carolina and Fresno State.

Boras has coached 11 seasons in the NFL.
