The Giants wasted no time naming their starting running back, whether it's an accurate depiction of where the group is or if it's just something to float our there for the sake of it.

According to the New York Daily News, at the top of the position group is offseason signee Rashad Jennings, who ended last year strong as a member of the Oakland Raiders. Jennings began the year backing up Darren McFadden in Oakland, but filled in as a starter once McFadden went down to injury.

Jennings took a stranglehold on the position and wound up running for 733 yards and six touchdowns in eight starts. It appears the Giants have big plans for Jennings this upcoming season.

Sitting as Jennings' primary backup is David Wilson, a first-round draft pick in 2012. Wilson had problems fumbling the ball a year ago but also seriously injured his neck. He recently tweeted that he's been cleared to play this season. If Wilson can hold onto the football then he should be able to take some reps of his own.

Rounding out the running back depth chart are Peyton Hillis and rookie Andre Williams, in that order. Potential is present for the Giants' running back group, but production is yet to be determined.
