Baltimore Ravens defensive end Ryan McBean suffered a broken ankle in Thursday night's preseason game against the Atlanta Falcons, according to the Baltimore Sun.

McBean suffered a dislocation fracture, which will require surgery. He is scheduled to visit Dr. Robert Anderson in Charlotte, N.C., on Monday.

McBean will miss the first three games of the regular season due to a violation of the NFL's performance-enhancing drug policy.
