Baltimore Ravens linebacker Jameel McClain's spinal injury is progressing well enough that he is unlikely to need surgery, according to USA Today.

McClain suffered a spinal cord contusion in the Ravens' loss to Washington back in December, as he felt numbness in his body while making a tackle against the Redskins' Alfred Morris.

The good news is that the injury appears likely to "resolve itself," per the report, which would also likely allow McClain to resume his football career.
