Baltimore Ravens tight end Dennis Pitta broke his hand and will likely require surgery, according to the Carroll County Times.
Pitta will require surgery, but should be back in time for the Ravens' regular season opener against the Cincinnati Bengals.
"It looks like he broke his hand," John Harbaugh said. "It looks like he'll have to repair it in some form or fashion."
Pitta caught 40 passes for 405 yards and three scores last year.
