Baltimore Ravens safety Christian Thompson has been suspended for the first four games of the 2013 regular season, per Aaron Wilson of the Baltimore Sun.

Thompson's suspension is for violating the league's substance abuse policy.

The second-year pro finished his rookie season on injured reserve with a knee injury.
