Scheduling conflict with Orioles apparently unable to be resolved. Terry McCormick
The Super Bowl champion Baltimore Ravens will likely open the 2013 season on the road, says Jeff Zrebiec of the Baltimore Sun.
For the past several years, the NFL has opened its season on Thursday night with the reigning Super Bowl champion as host. However, the Ravens have a scheduling conflict with baseball's Baltimore Orioles, who have a Sept. 5 home date with the Chicago White Sox.
The Orioles have been reluctant to move the game to the afternoon, and the two teams share parking as their stadiums are in close proximity.
