Ravens safety skipped mandatory mini-camp on Tuesday. Terry McCormick
Ed Reed's absence from the Baltimore Ravens' mandatory mini-camp on Tuesday may have baffled Coach John Harbaugh a bit, but veteran linebacker Ray Lewis insisted to the Associated Press that it was no big deal.
"I'm not sure what the situation is," Harbaugh said regarding Reed's absence.
Lewis, however, said, "I don't think it's an issue at all" and said he believed Reed would be in attendance when the Ravens begin training camp late next month.
Reed's talk this off-season has had him waffling a bit on whether to play or retire, but the latest before Tuesday's no-show was that all indications pointed to Reed coming back to the Ravens for 2012.
