Steelers running back says he will fight through the pain. Terry McCormick
Pittsburgh Steelers running back Isaac Redman has been bothered by a hip injury for a portion of preseason, and says that the injury may be something that troubles him all year, according to the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette.
Redman had an MRI last week that showed no significant damage, and the pain in hi ship has subsided at least for now. But Redman is ticketed to be the Steelers' No. 1 running back while Rashard Mendenhall recovers from reconstructive knee surgery, and knows he will take his share of pounding.
"I'm a downhill runner and take a lot of pounding," Redman said. "I'm not really sure how the hip is going to hold up or if it's going to hurt at all, or if I'm going to be fine. I'm just going to go day to day and see how it feels.
"It's pretty much a pain-tolerance thing. It might nag me throughout the year. I'm just going to have to fight through the pain."
