Now, maybe some of the draft picks in the top 10 will start to sign in short order.
That’s because Robert Griffin III put his name to a contract this morning, becoming just the second player in the top 10 to get a deal done. The Washington Redskins have their quarterback signed, sealed and delivered before training camp.
Off-set language is believed to be one of the keys to many of these deals at the top and Griffin will not have to worry about that. According to NFL.com, his four-year contract for $21,119,098 is fully guaranteed. The Redskins, of course, hold an option for a fifth season.
“Well people....It's Time to go to Work!!! Off the unemployment line and oh yea HTTR!!!!” Griffin wrote on his personal Twitter account.
For those wondering, HTTR stands for Hail to the Redskins.
