The Redskins needed to address their special teams this offseason.

And midway through January, they've appeared to do that. On Wednesday, the Redskins hired Ben Kotwica to be their new special teams coordinator, according to a report from FOX Sports.

Kotwica was last with the New York Jets, though his contract expired after this past season. However, he was reportedly offered a new deal from the Jets, but decided to look elsewhere.
