The Washington Redskins continued with their off-the-radar moves this morning, re-signing offensive lineman Will Montgomery to a contract.
Montgomery, 27, appeared in all 16 games for the Redskins last season, making three starts at right guard after injuries had decimated the Vinny Cerrato-designed offensive line.
The five-year veteran has appeared in 29 career games, also playing for the Carolina Panthers and New York Jets. He was originally a seventh-round draft pick by the Panthers in 2006 when he made four starts for Carolina.

Hill proved himself to be a good man in his 9rs time. He handled the cards dealt him in a professional manor and put his best on the field. I feel confident that the same man will show up with the Lions. He is a credit to the breed.

This is a guy who has already overachieved in the NFL. He struggled at guard last year, but he is an average center at a below average price. Should be good insurance as the backup center and emergency guard.
