Redskins waived-injured Jerry Rice Jr.

The Washington Redskins waived-injured wide receiver Jerry Rice Jr., the son of Hall of Fame wide receiver Jerry Rice.

Rice Jr. tore his labrum in his left shoulder and needs to have surgery.

Rice Jr. can go on injured reserve if he's unclaimed off waivers.

Rice Jr. previously tried out for the San Francisco 49ers and Baltimore Ravens.

Rice Jr. played at UNLV after transferring from UCLA. Rice Jr. caught 10 passes for 73 yards last season.
