Not surprisingly, the Washington Redskins, who often treat their roster as if it is fantasy football by loading up on name players, would be interested in Peyton Manning if he is released by the Indianapolis Colts.

The Washington Post cited sources saying the Redskins would indeed have Manning on their radar if the Colts decline to pay the $28 million roster bonus in March, and set him free. Of course, Manning's health is the primary concern and whether or not he can come back and play again at all after three neck surgeries.

Meanwhile, in Tennessee, fans have created a pie-in-the-sky website called comehomepeyton.com trying to lure Manning back to Tennessee, where he played college football. That's a scenario that is not at all likely to happen, despite the site trying to raise money to buy billboards in Indianapolis. The Titans are high on first-round pick Jake Locker, whom new GM Ruston Webster had a strong influence in drafting, and also are happy with Matt Hasselbeck as his mentor.

Dan Snyder epitomizes the popular definition of insanity - "if you keep doing the same thing over and over..."

I'm sure the rest of the NFC East appreciates his efforts but the 'Skins will never win anything as long as he is the owner.
