Patriots rookie featured on explicit sex tape Aaron Wilson
Reebok issued a statement earlier today that it never offered a marketing deal to New England Patriots rookie linebacker Brandon Spikes.
The shoe and athletic apparel company was in discussions with Spikes, though, prior to the revelation that the former University of Florida star is featured in an explicit sex tape.
“The media reports that Reebok has terminated an endorsement contract with Patriots linebacker Brandon Spikes are completely false,” Reebok spokesman Daniel Sarro said in a statement. “Reebok never had a deal with Brandon. The story was reported without confirmation from Reebok, and as a result inaccurate information is now being reported as fact.
"We had discussions with Brandon earlier this summer, as we do with many NFL players, but no agreement has been reached and he is not currently under contract with Reebok."
Either way, a future endorsement for Spikes and Reebok doesn't look like it will be happening.
The NFL has said it's looking into the matter even though the tape was apparently recorded before Spikes entered the league.
