Reed a question mark against old club

Ed Reed continues to rehab his injured hip, and as his new club, the Houston Texans, prepares to take on his old club, the Baltimore Ravens, it isn't a sure thing that Reed will be on the field playing Sunday.

Reed has already missed the first two regular season games against San Diego and Tennessee. But the chance to go against a club where he spent his entire NFL career until signing with Houston in the off-season. But he insists that it won't be that big of a deal if he can't go against Baltimore.

"It’s nothing that urged me to play this week, you know, I didn’t circle this on the calendar," Reed told NFL Network in a story picked up by the Houston Chronicle. "I said it earlier in the offseason, that with my rehab, I’m not preparing to play against San Diego or Tennessee or even the Ravens. It’s about being there for the long haul, being there for the team when it really counts, and that’s playoffs, the Super Bowl, AFC Championship Game.”
