The Detroit Lions are planning to rest running back Reggie Bush this week so that he can fully recover from a knee injury, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter.

Bush injured his knee against the Cardinals, though returned to the game for one play. He them fumbled on that play and was held out for the remainder of the game.

With Bush out, Lions backup running back Joique Bell will fill in as a starter. Bush is expected to return next week.
