Though he's dealing with legal and personal issues, Aldon Smith is still a member of the San Francisco 49ers organization.
As a result, he is present at 49ers offseason workouts, according to a report from CSN Bay Area. Smith was recently arrested for falsly reporting that he had a bomb on him at Los Angeles International Airport.
It's been insinuated that Smith could be on his way out in San Francisco as a result. But allowing Smith to practice could be a sign that the organization is willing to give him another chance. That, or they don't want any potential problems with the collective bargaining agreement the NFL and NFLPA signed in 2011.
Smith had 34 tackles and 8.5 sacks in 11 games a season ago. Smith spent time in a rehab facility for alcohol abuse during the 2013 season after being arrested for suspicion of DUI for a second time.
