49ers LB was treated, released from hospital Brad Biggs
Details are still a little sketchy on exactly what happened to Aldon Smith while the San Francisco 49ers was at a wild house party early Saturday morning.
But Matt Maiocco of CSN Bay Area reports that Smith was injured attempting to break up a fight. He suffered “minor stab wounds” to the shoulder and abdomen that reportedly were likely from a “small pocketknife.”
Two other people at the party were injured by gunshots. The 49ers said Saturday night that Smith was “recovering comfortably.” Smith was treated and released at Regional Medical Center in San Jose.
Officers from three police agencies responded to the party. No one suffered life-threatening injuries.
Once Smith is recovered, the question will be what was he doing at this party gone bad? Surely, the 49ers will seek a compelling answer.
