Report: Big Ben separated shoulder

Injury termed as 'unusual' by source. Terry McCormick

Ben Roethlisberger has a separated shoulder in his throwing arm, according to a report from Yahoo!'s Jason Cole.

Roethlisberger left the field in the third quarter and was taken to a local hospital for an MRI, where it was determined that the shoulder was separated and that the injury was termed "unusual."

Exactly what that means is not certain, but with a separated throwing shoulder, his availability for next week's AFC North showdown with the Baltimore Ravens could be in question.
