Will Blackmon has signed his qualifying offer as a restricted free agent with the Green Bay Packers.
Tom Silverstein of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reported that Blackmon took care of business at the start of the week, signing the tender that will pay him $1.176 million this season.
Blackmon, a cornerback and returner, is rexovering from a torn ACL. That rehabilitation put him in a position where he wasn’t going to generate interest in the open market. A source close to the player said the process is going well, though, and the plan is for Blackmon to be ready for the beginning of training camp in late July.
The Packers began their offseason program on Monday.

there does appear to be an extended leave of absence for "personal issues" and others are taking over his duties. No team announcement has been made. Several local reporters seem to indicate that this about "personal Issues" unrelated to football.
