Schiano to bring on board longtime ally Brad Biggs
Greg Schiano got his first job in the NFL with the Chicago Bears working under Dave Wannstedt back in 1996.
Now, Schiano is going to give Wannstedt an employment opportunity.
According to Roy Cummings of the Tampa Tribune, Wannstedt will be hired as the special teams coordinator of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He is expected to replace Bob Ligashesky, although the club has not made a formal announcement, per Cummings.
Wannstedt was fired last month as the defensive coordinator of the Buffalo Bills. The former Pitt coach has also been the head coach of the Miami Dolphins and served as a defensive coordinator in Dallas. What he doesn’t have is a recent background as a special teams coach.
