The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have been methodical in their search for a replacement for Raheem Morris.

The process continues as the Bucs continue to sift through potential candidates. According to ESPN’s Chris Mortensen, the club has requested permission to interview Green Bay Packers offensive coordinator Joe Philbin for the job.

Philbin, who lost a son last week in an accidental drowning, has already interviewed with the Kansas City Chiefs and Miami Dolphins.

To date, the Bucs search has primarily focused on former head coaches, although now Tampa is branching out in its search.

I certainly wish him well. I wonder as he just laid his son to rest in Green Bay if his f.amily would embrace such a dramatic change. He certainly has done a terrific job

Well, it isn't terribly difficult running an offense w/ that cast of characters. That doesn't mean I am against Philbin's being considered. If he could bring Clement along as (nominal) OC,to help develop Josh, & the Bucs got a position coach like Jim Tomsula to run the defense, I would be happy as a fan.
