After getting the New York Jets to take a chance on him once he was released from prison, Plaxico Burress is finding it much more difficult to find someone to give him another shot now that he has escaped from the Jets circus of 2011.
The Miami Herald reports that Burress “would love” to audition for the Dolphins, but the 'Phins may not be inclined to add any more receivers heading into training camp if their young players develop as they hope.
Burress had 45 catches for 612 yards last season, but he did catch eight TD passes in his first season back in the league after spending nearly two years in prison on a gun charge.
The thing that may be working against Burress as much as anything is that he will be 35 before the season begins.
