The last time the Arizona Cardinals were competitive, Todd Haley was calling offensive plays.
Now, Haley is in the mix to become the team’s next head coach.
According to Mike Jurecki of XTRA 910 in Phoenix, the Cardinals have requested permission from the Pittsburgh Steelers to interview Haley.
Haley spent this past season as the offensive coordinator for the Steelers after a nearly three-year run as the head coach of the Kansas City Chiefs. While he didn’t exactly hit it off with Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger, it’s important to note that the Bidwill family was fond of Haley and he left Arizona on good terms.
Haley worked in Arizona from 2007 to 2008 under ousted coach Ken Whisenhunt.
