The Carson Palmer trade to the Arizona Cardinals is not done yet.
But things appear to be moving in the right direction. According to Kent Somers of the Arizona Republic, Palmer was in the Phoenix area on Monday night and had dinner with team executives.
Presumably, the parties want to make certain they are on the same page before a deal is done. Palmer will also have to agree to a reworked contract because Arizona is not going to pay him the $13 million he is due to earn this season. The groundwork has been laid, though, and Arizona cut ties with John Skelton on Monday. All signs point to a deal being completed soon.
