Report: Darrelle Revis joins Patriots on $12 million deal

The New England Patriots have signed veteran cornerback Darrelle Revis to a one-year, $12 million contract, according to ESPN.

He replaces Aqib Talib, who signed with the Denver Broncos.

Revis had a $1.5 million roster bonus due today prior to being released by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

The Buccaneers were unsuccessful in their attempts to trade him.

Revis was due a $16 million base salary.
