Six weeks after his brother was removed as GM, college scouting director axed Brad Biggs
It was going to be uncomfortable for David McCloughan to remain as the director of college scouting with the San Francisco 49ers after his brother was ousted as the general manager six weeks ago.
It won’t be any longer. David McCloughan has had his computer taken from him and will not continue with the organization, according to Matt Maiocco of Comcast Sportsnet Bay Area.
Scot McCloughan was removed as the team’s general manager on March 22 but his brother remained on through the draft that was run by Trent Baalke, who is the likely candidate to become the next GM.
Niners CEO Jed York said that David McCloughan would handle the situation as a professional when the shakeup occurred. Now, he’ll have to find work elsewhere. Previously, he worked across the Bay for the Oakland Raiders in their scouting department.
