With just under two weeks to go until the 2010 NFL draft, you can expect the frequency of reports such as this one to start increasing.

According to our own Michael Lombardi, the Miami Dolphins may be looking to trade down from their current spot in the first round in an effort to land more draft picks.

“From talking to teams around the league, I hear the Dolphins are looking to move down from the 12th pick in the draft to acquire more picks,” writes Lombardi.

Miami has been rumored to be interested in Oklahoma State wide receiver Dez Bryant, most likely due to the fact that their top three receivers—Ted Ginn, Davone Bess and Greg Camarillo—combined to score just three touchdowns in 2009.

However, Bryant’s stock has taken a hit since the wideout ran a 4.52 and 4.68 40-yard-dash at his recent pro day. The 6’2”, 220-pound receiver forgot his best pair of spikes and then lashed out at the media for criticizing him.

Maybe the Dolphins figure they can trade down, acquire some additional picks and still get their man.
