McNabb, Vick could be dangled at owners meeting Brad Biggs
The Philadelphia Eagles have maintained all along that they can go into the 2010 with the same three quarterbacks they had last season – Donovan McNabb, Kevin Kolb and, on yeah, Michael Vick.
But Vick would come with a big price tag for even a No. 2 quarterback if he indeed returns, and popular thinking is that something has to give. One of the quarterbacks probably will not return to the team. But who leaves and generates what in trade remains to be seen.
Maybe the ball will get rolling today at the owners meetings in Orlando, Fla., reports Jeff McLane of the Philadelphia Inquirer. It’s an ideal location for the all principles involved to begin some backroom dealing and lay the groundwork for a deal before next month’s draft.
Remember, coach Andy Reid has repeatedly stated that McNabb will be the team’s quarterback. It’s going to remain that way until a deal comes together for him. But where could he be dealt at this point? McLane reports that Cleveland and Seattle can be eliminated as potential destinations after their latest moves. The Eagles surely would demand at least a first-round pick in exchange for McNabb.
Then there is the case of Vick. The team picked up his roster bonus and McLane reports the asking price for him is a second-round draft pick, which seems high. St. Louis has been mentioned as a possible destination but the Rams seem to be zeroing in on Oklahoma quarterback Sam Bradford with the first pick in the draft. The Eagles might have to take a late-round pick in exchange for Vick.
The Eagles with new general manager Howie Roseman have already been active in the trade market, cutting a deal with the Seahawks for defensive end Darryl Tapp. Perhaps Roseman and Reid will work toward brokering another deal in the coming days.

And who's going to want to give up those high picks in this 'once-in-a-lifetime' draft for a QB on the downside of his career (applicable to both Vick and McNabb)? "Sure, guys, we'll give up the future for a couple or three years of a possibly successful QB who's changing systems right now..." Yeah, right.
I've said it before and I'll say it again. Look for all three QB's to still be wearing Eagles green next season.
I agree with Yojimbo that nobody is gonna give ahigh draft pick for anyone, except maybe Kolb.
Everyone knows how deep the draft is, everyone knows PHI would be unwise to carry three highly paid QB's into the season. PHI is not in a position toplay hardball here. They may be talking the talk, but I bet on draft day Vick or McNabb gets shipped out for a 3rd round pick or lower.
The Eagles are helped by the fact that this is a weak QB class.
Would Carolina trade Richard Marshall for Mike Vick?
expect mcchoke to be traded for a 4th round pick next year
i meant next year's 4th round pick
Any time you look at players in the league who have been through difficult times and then had success, it makes you keep an open mind. Look at Cris Carter. Should you have not been interested in Cris Carter when he went to Minnesota? He proved that you should've been.

Well they're doing it right. To say we aren't desperate to get rid of anyone & it'll cost if someone wants to think about talking is just smart business. If anyone actually believes the Eagles want to keep these three on this team instead of getting high value picks in a once in a lifetime deep draft is fooling themselves.
