It comes as no surprise the Philadelphia Eagles will start rookie quarterback Nick Foles on Sunday when they tangle with the Washington Redskins at FedEx Field.

Foles takes over for Michael Vick, who will not play after suffering a concussion last week in a loss to the Dallas Cowboys. Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reported Vick will not play.

Eagles coach Andy Reid said it was a significant concussion when Vick was knocked out on Sunday and the Eagles have been making plans to go with Foles all week. We’ll see how he fares against a more heralded rookie quarterback in Robert Griffin III. If Foles plays well, you’ll wonder if Vick will retain his job. Stay tuned.
