Report: Falcons looking for Osi Umenyiora to take pay cut

The Atlanta Falcons want defensive end Osi Umenyiora to take a pay cut for the 2014 season, according to a report from FOX Sports.

After signing a two-year deal in 2013, Umenyiora is slated to earn $3.5 million this upcoming season.

However, the Falcons are looking to bolster both the offensive and defensive lines. To do so, they need to free up some money.

Someone like Umenyiora may not be in favor of a pay cut, which could lead to a restructure or extension if the Falcons wish to keep him in their plans.
