Defensive end has torn ligament in his ankle Aaron Wilson
Indianapoilis Colts defensive end Dwight Freeney is reportedly expected to play in the Super Bowl despite a torn ligament in his right ankle.
According to ESPN, Freeney is going to test his ankle out during pregame warmups.
If there aren't any setbacks, he's slated to play against the New Orleans Saints.
Freeney is listed as questionable on the injury report and hasn't practiced all week.
Earlier this week, defensive end Robert Mathis seemed to indicate that Freeney would only play on third downs.
He's likely to be replaced in the starting lineup by Raheem Brock.
Freeney injured his ankle during the final minutes of the Colts' AFC title win over the New York Jets.
