Percy Harvin will miss today’s game with the Cincinnati Bengals at the Metrodome due to migraines, according to Jason La Canfora of NFL.com.
Harvin missed practice this week and the feeling was that he would be recovered in time for the game. There have been instances earlier this season where migraines have kept him out of practices but he’s returned in time for the games.
Losing Harvin will be a significant blow for the Vikings, who are trying to bounce back after being beaten and beaten up in Arizona last week. The Vikings (10-2) have put together a terrific season to point but it must be considered that they have beaten only one team with a winning record—Green Bay. Granted, the Vikings have defeated their division rivals twice, but Minnesota needs a bounce-back performance here, and according to La Canfora they will have to do it without one of their most important offensive and special teams weapons.

The Minneapolis Star Tribune reported that Harvin saw a doctor last week and could be headed for more tests. It’s the frequency with which he is getting migraines that concerns the team, which knew about his condition when he was drafted.
