Report: Holmgren out as Browns sale becomes official

Mike Holmgren will be out as the president of the Cleveland Browns within 24 hours, according to ESPN.com.

UPDATE: The Cleveland Plain Dealer is reporting that Holmgren will remain with the Browns through the end of the seaso and then retire.

The move comes with the official approval of Jimmy Haslam as the team's new owner on Tuesday, and according to the report, the long rumored move of former Philadelphia Eagles president Joe Banner as the team's new president will take place, forcing Holmgren aside.

Banner is expected to be introduced at a news conference today announcing the sale becoming official.
