Other report says Cardinals expected to release QB. Terry McCormick
Kevin Kolb is still a member of the Arizona Cardinals, but a report from NFL Network's Ian Rapoport indicates that could change soon due to a $2 million roster bonus due on St. Patrick's Day.
If Kolb is cut, Manish Mehta of the New York Daily News takes that a step further by saying the New York Jets could pursue Kolb with the intent of him being their starting quarterback.
Kolb has experience in Marty Mornhinweg's version of the West Coast Offense as he and Kolb worked together with the Philadelphia Eagles.
The other interesting aspect of this is what happens to the seemingly endless number of quarterbacks already on the Jets' roster. There is, of course, Mark Sanchez, who has struggled the past two seasons; David Garrard, who was just signed this week; Tim Tebow, who appears on his way out the door; and Greg McElroy, who seems to be caught in the crossfire of all this activity.
