Announcement, opponent coming Monday. Joe Fortenbaugh
For all of the griping that Jets owner Woody Johnson did this week over losing that coin toss to the Giants, it sure seems like his team is landing some pretty high-profile games.
Reports came out earlier this week that the Jets would host the first Monday night game of the season at the brand-new facility they share with the Giants.
In addition, it looks like that new stadium will be on display on Thanksgiving as well.
Per a report from Gary Myers of the New York Daily News, the Jets have accepted an offer from the league to host the night game played on Thanksgiving. Kickoff is scheduled for 8:20pm eastern.
The Jets opponent will be named in a formal announcement that is expected to come on Monday at the league meetings in Orlando.
The complete NFL schedule will be released in April.

Another reason for the invite is Panini - the trading card company - wants him there so they can get the jersey/hat he wears to put in trading cards, and to get his first autographs after being drafted.
