Jacksonville Jaguars running back Maurice Jones-Drew has been charged with battery after he allegedly hit a security guard in a St. Augustine, Fla., restaurant, per TMZ.

A friend of Jones-Drew's at the restaurant was reportedly told by security not to be touching a young female. The friend then apparently slapped the security guard in the chest. When the security guard put the friend in a headlock, that allegedly is when MJD hit the security guard in the jaw, knocking him out.

The security guard was hospitalized with minor injuries.

UPDATE: The Florida Times-Union's Ryan O'Halloran says that no charges have yet been filed in the matter, which is still under investigation.
