Report: Junior Seau killed

San Diego Chargers legend Junior Seau was found dead in his Oceanside, Calif., home, TMZ reported.

According to the report, police are investigating a shooting at the home.

Seau is survived by three children and his ex-wife. The report stated that the 43-year-old Seau had send text messages to his kids and his former wife yesterday saying that he loved them.

Seau is arguably the greatest defensive player in San Diego Chargers history, having starred as a linebacker after being taken in the 1990 NFL draft. He also played for the Dolphins and Patriots.

UPDATE: The North County Times is reporting Seau's death as a suicide.
