Jacksonville Jaguars wide receiver Justin Blackmon is heading to rehab, according to ESPN.

The troubled former first-round draft pick from Oklahoma State is going to enter a rehab facility after being suspended indefinitely Friday for violating the NFL substance-abuse policy.

Blackmon isn't eligible to apply for reinstatement until before next season.

The NFL and NFL Players Association has been emphasizing treatment as much as punishment these days when it comes to players who have chronic issues off the field.

Blackmon has a history of driving under the influence arrests.
