Another story says Oregon coach still plans to talk to Bills and Eagles. Terry McCormick
At this time of year, there is plenty of contradicting information that gets reported from reliable sources.
And so it is with Chip Kelly, the University of Oregon coach, who is making the rounds as an NFL head coaching candidate.
Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network reports that Kelly and the Cleveland Browns are close to striking a deal that would make him the club's next coach.
Meanwhile, ESPN's Chris Mortensen says that while Kelly and the Browns held a productive meeting, that Kelly still plans to go through with visits to his other suitors - the Buffalo Bills and Philadelphia Eagles.
Sounds as if the ante is about to be upped in the Chip Kelly sweepstakes.
