Police say Jaguars DT and friend made threats in club. Terry McCormick
A police report surfaced on Tuesday in the incident that involves Jacksonville defensive tackle Terrance Knighton, and it does not cast the Jaguars star in the best of lights.
The report says that Knighton and a friend known as "Spoon" were among those thrown out of Club Pure and that Knighton and Spoon "repeatedly made threats to shoot people," once they were outside the club.
Knighton sustained a cut to his eye and had to have surgery on Sunday as the injury was reported to be serious.
The Florida Times-Union, citing a source, said Knighton did not instigate the incident that caused damage to his eye, and that an off-duty police officer responded to the disturbance early Sunday at the Pure Nightclub.
