Larry Grant has been suspended for the first four games of the 2013 season for violating the NFL’s policy on performance enhancing drugs.
Matt Barrows of the Sacramento Bee reports that Grant, who is a free agent, will be forced to miss the first month of the season if he is signed by a team, something that could be complicating his bid to land a job.
Grant has made free agent visits to the Kansas City Chiefs and New England Patriots. He played primarily special teams for the San Francisco 49ers last season. Grant is eligible to participate in all offseason, training camp and preseason action if he signs with a club.
