Report: MRI confirms torn ACL for Sean Lee

Sean Lee has been extremely unlucky since entering the NFL in 2010.

He's never been able to play a complete season, though he did come close by participating in 15 games in 2011. But injuries have slowed him down, especially in the past two seasons.

Now, he won't be able to participate in 2014 at all. Lee injured his knee during an offseason practice, with an MRI confirming that he did tear his ACL, reports ESPN.com

This is what the Cowboys initially feared and now it's a reality — a key piece to their defense won't be around for the season.

Rookie Zack Martin caught some initial heat for blocking Lee to the ground, though Lee's knee began to buckle before Martin made any kind of contact with him.

A year ago, Lee dealt with hamstring and neck injuries. He missed five games as a result. While those kind of nagging injuries can take their toll, Lee would likely trade that for what he's about to endure with a torn ACL.
