Velocity and throws to the left appear to be biggest issues. Terry McCormick
Michael Lombardi of NFL Network said Thursday on the Bill Simmons' podcast for ESPN that Peyton Manning is still having trouble making certain types of throws and with his velocity.
In an interview picked up by BusinessInsider.com, Lombardi says the Colts QB, who has received clearance to return from his neck surgery, is having issues with velocity and certain types of throws.
"I've talked to people who've caught the ball for him. He can't throw the ball to his left. He can't throw the ball across his body, because he doesn't feel it," Lombardi said. "People that catch the ball for him say he doesn't really have velocity on the ball yet."
That, of course, is because once Manning cleared the hurdle of his neck being OK to play, he still has to wait for the nerves in his arm to regenerate and for the strength and velocity in that right arm to return. The timetable for that is unknown, and certainly looms as a large reason why the Colts would sever ties with their franchise quarterback when his $28 million roster bonus comes due in a month.

Yes, just like a rational person claims he's never restructured his contract before...oh wait...
Dude, it takes TIME to get the strength back. He's been cleared to play and practice, that doesn't mean he's gonna step back on the field and be slinging passes at full velocity right away.
I hope we'll have a chance to see the real Peyton Manning back with whatever uniform, otherwise it's better for him to retire.

Again, get your facts straight. He restructured his ONE time.....in 2007. He did NOT restructure his deal "many times"......as was stated. It's called reading comprehension. Look into it.
Are you SURE? Also, I seem to recall that you claimed he always took the max amount of money, so are you changing your story now?

This is hilarious. He is clearly NOT ok to play. No rational person could blame Irsay for not buying it.
