The Buffalo Bills have hired Syracuse coach Doug Marrone as their new head coach Sunday morning, according to ESPN.com.
Marrone led Syracuse to an 8-5 record this season, including a strong finish this year that ended with a victory over West Virginia in the Pinstripe Bowl.
The Bills had interviewed Chip Kelly and Lovie Smith as well before deciding on Marrone.
Buffalo is 16-32 in the past three seasons under Chan Gailey, who was fired on Monday.
