Washington Redskins coach Mike Shanahan has no plans to resign and would like to return if he has full control going forward, according to ESPN.
Shanahan has one year and $7 million left on his contract.
Per the report, the Redskins have no plans on firing Shanahan for cause.
Although Shanahan might want back in, there would appear to be enough of a disconnect here with Redskins owner Dan Snyder and quarterback Robert Griffin III, that it's unlikely he'll be back.
Following the season, Shanahan reportedy plans to meet with Snyder to see if something can be worked out.
