For the past several years, the NFL has made a new tradition of having the defending Super Bowl champion open the following season in primetime.

That honor in 2013 would go to the Baltimore Ravens - except that. according to Jeff Zrebiec of the Baltimore Sun, there appears to be a problem.

Major League Baseball's Orioles and the Ravens have yet to agree to a compromise that would allow the game to be scheduled. The Ravens and Orioles don't share a facility, but the two stadiums are in the same area.

The Orioles are scheduled to host the Chicago White Sox that Thursday evening, and thus far have not agreed to move the game to the afternoon to accommodate the Ravens.

Last year, the NFL season opener was shifted to Wednesday night because of a conflict with the Democratic National Convention.
